Honoring Our Heroes Together

We are pleased to announce six projects scheduled in the month of November to benefit Military Veterans and their families who are low-income homeowners in need of critical repairs, modifications and rehabilitation of their homes.

Five of our projects are funded by Sears. As part of its long-standing commitment to supporting veterans and military families, Sears is bringing back its #HeroesAtHome program for the holiday season to immediately assist low-income veterans who are in urgent need of wheelchair accessibility ramps at their homes. Starting Oct. 30 through Nov. 19, shoppers can donate to Rebuilding Together when they check out at any Sears store or via a link at https://www.sears.com/heroesathome. The funds raised during this campaign will go towards repairing the homes of veterans throughout the country. We are so excited to be a part of this special program as we help five local veterans right here in Atlanta, Georgia!

Another of our veteran projects is funded by Batson-Cook Contractors and their subcontractors. This wonderful group of caring businesses has come together to support a military veteran who is a full-time caregiver for his mother. Through these donations, we will fund the building of a wheelchair access ramp, replace the roof on their home, repair siding, paint the home’s exterior and provide much-needed landscaping to allow for proper wheelchair access.

None of these projects would be possible without the financial support of businesses and individuals who care. THANK YOU!

“On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free.” —Dan Lipinski
