ATLANTA, September 16, 2019 – Rebuilding Together Atlanta (RTA) announces that its executive director, Camille Kesler, will depart the role today after 4 years of dedicated service, and Mike Salet will take over as interim executive director.
The board expresses its tremendous gratitude to Ms. Kesler for her service, leadership and ardent support. “Camille dedicated herself to strengthening RTA’s financial development, growth and professionalizing the organization. In doing so, she cultivated new supporters and impacted countless homeowners and their families,” says Jason Fernandez, board chair. He adds, “Camille’s unwavering steadfastness brought RTA back to life and greatly enhanced RTA’s standing in and commitment to the Atlanta community.”
Under Ms. Kesler’s leadership, RTA gained solvency and stability with an increase in the operating account balance of more than 7,000% over a four-year period. She also guided the organization in assisting nearly 200 at-risk homeowners with needed repairs to their homes during this same period.
Ms. Kesler leaves to devote more time to her busy family with her husband Paul and their three daughters who are in elementary, middle and high school.
As part of a thoughtful succession plan, Michael (Mike) Salet will replace Ms. Kesler as interim executive director commencing September 9, 2019. A graduate of the University of Florida, Mr. Salet has extensive experience in business, and commercial and residential real estate.
“Mike brings a wealth of property management and project management experience to the position of interim executive director, and we look forward to working closely with him as we implement strategies and objectives around the strategic plan and work towards our mission,” says Jason Fernandez.
