RESOURCES FOR HOMEOWNERS
Rebuilding Together Atlanta home projects consist of major repairs for residents who lack the funds to address major health and safety issues in their home. Using the evidence-based National Safe and Healthy Housing Standard, Rebuilding Together Atlanta conducts home assessments and develop scopes of work that ensure the most important repair needs are met in each home.

Home Repair Programs & Grants
Nationwide
United States Department of Agriculture
Provides grants and low-interest loans directly to homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize homes or remove health and safety hazards
United States Department of Energy Weatherization Program
Provides grants to low-income households to make their homes more energy-efficient, reducing energy costs. To qualify for any of the energy-related grants for home improvements, households are required to live at the poverty line or 200% below. Priority is given to seniors, families with children, and disabled members of the household who need the home to be handicap accessible.

BASIC ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for and receive our services, homeowners must:
- Own and occupy their home. Rebuilding Together Atlanta cannot work on rental property.
- Be classified as a low-income senior, veteran, or person with a disability.
- Demonstrate a health and safety need for the requested repairs and services in their home. Repairs must be focused around improving the health and safety of living within the home and are not cosmetic in nature.
- Complete the homeowner application and all required intake paperwork.
- Provide:
- Proof of total household income for all individuals residing in the home (i.e., copy of paystubs, copy of social security income, social security or veterans benefits entitlement letter, etc.).
- Proof of home insurance and verified home ownership (i.e., title, property insurance, or mortgage statement).
- Two (2) recent utilities in the homeowner’s name.
- Remain living in the home for at least two (2) years after Rebuilding Together Atlanta services are completed.
